Choosing a cruise can appear deceptively simple. You just pick an itinerary within your price range that includes the ports you want to visit, right? Wrong. Selecting a cruise in this manner could be a recipe for a vacation disaster. Why? Because each cruise line has a distinct personality and a clientele that it caters to.
One ship, for example, may feature string quartets, gourmet meals and tours to historic sites; while another vessel might be outfitted with a water park, boast all-you-can-eat buffets and adrenaline-rush excursions. Neither is better or worse than the other. But pair a traveler with the wrong boat, and they could be miserable. And this is where my experience and expertise come in.
You see, I am the owner of an agency that specializes in cruise bookings, and have also been a travel agent since 1997. In addition, I have sailed on close to 100 cruises. This love for the sea comes naturally to me as both my grandfather and great grandfather were whaling captains. Over the years, I have also become an expert at matching my clients with the best cruise lines and ships for their particular needs and interests. And because shore excursions can really add that "wow" factor to an itinerary, I have developed a strong relationship with a select group of private tour providers who offer experiences that can truly elevate a client's itineraries.
Another way that I can be especially helpful to my clients is with the booking of the air and hotel portions of their travels. Because of my own experiences, I have first-hand knowledge of the airports, carriers and aircraft that I share with my clients and use to design the best itinerary possible for them. I can also steer my clients to the right hotels for their pre- and post-cruise stays -- ones, for example, that will be convenient to the port and popular attractions.
I also have been the host of a local radio show for the past 10 years, Cruisin' with Bill on WSAR 1480 which airs every Tuesday from 2 - 3 pm here in south-eastern Massachusetts.
Training-wise, I am a CLIA Master Cruise Counsellor, and I have also completed almost every cruise line program available, including ones for:
- Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines
- Princess
- Azamara
- AMA Waterways
- Celebrity
- Cunard
Most importantly, when you book a cruise with me, I will be the person who will be handling all of your needs. As the owner of my agency, I am in the office six days a week, and your happiness and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to me.
